TechOps Engineer

The Role

Together with our close-knit Technical Operations team, you will manage and oversee the release process and maintenance of our Operator Online web application. You will manage the infrastructure, from development to production, including webservers, script servers, database servers, load balancers and much more.

To ensure things continue to run smoothly you will collect information from different development teams and coordinate with them regarding bigger infrastructure changes.

  • Designing and implementing application environments
  • Technical and Functional management of the in-house built customer portal
  • Providing insight into required infrastructural capacity for current applications
  • Writing and performing recovery/ fail-over procedures.
  • Additionally, you are the point of contact for our service desk for any incidents regarding Operator Online

Who are you?

You are a team player with a proactive approach, whether upskilling yourself or refining a process you are always adjusting and driving change for the better. On top of this you also have;

  • At least 3 years of experience with managing one or more applications, consisting of multiple components, spanning several servers, including high availability
  • In-depth knowledge of the Linux Operating system at administrator level
  • Able to read and understand PHP scripts
  • Experience with scripting languages like Bash OR Python
  • In-depth knowledge of Ansible
  • Experience with GIT
  • Working knowledge of MySQL
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Willing to participate in an on-call schedule
  • Able to identify problems based on incidents
