Elevating the employee experience while continuing the self-organising culture
Enreach, Europe’s leading provider of converged contact solutions, announced that Shemara van den Heuvel has been named Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this capacity, she is responsible for the company’s recruitment, onboarding, retention, and HR initiatives, as well as driving the advancement of an empowering and inspiring culture, enabled by self-organisation. Her appointment is effective immediately.
Shemara van den Heuvel brings deep human resources expertise to Enreach. Prior to joining the company, she served as Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources for Media.Monks, a digital marketing and production company. While at Media.Monks, she built the HR foundation after the company’s growth from 600 employees to some 8,000 staff members worldwide and was responsible for merging European teams after several acquisitions. Before joining Media.Monks, she was Human Resources Director at Red Bull Netherlands, and held HR positions at both Deloitte and Ahold.
“Shemara has proven herself to be an innovative and effective leader who has achieved significant success by helping large organisations attract and retain quality talent in highly competitive environments,” noted Stijn Nijhuis, Enreach's Chief Executive Officer. “She will play a critical role for Enreach as we continue to grow our employee base, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and look to expand our footprint across Europe. We are confident that Shemara’s creativity and expertise will enable Enreach to further strengthen our position as a leading destination for talented, innovative, and entrepreneurial individuals.”
Headquartered in Almere, Netherlands, Enreach ranks among Europe’s largest providers converging unified communications, collaboration, omnichannel contact centre, AI and business productivity solutions for small- and mid-size businesses, as well as enterprises. The company’s customer base extends across Europe from the Nordics south to Spain, and from the Baltic nations west to the United Kingdom. Enreach employs over 1,000 professionals, and maintains 27 offices in Europe, including sales, product development, and administration. The company is highly regarded for its commitment to ‘holacracy,’ a philosophy that distributes authority and decision-making across self-organising teams rather than relying on traditional hierarchical structures to help drive agility, innovation and propel growth.
“Enreach has set a high bar for implementing human resources practices that are unique, engaging, and highly effective,“ said van den Heuvel. “I am eager to work with my colleagues in Almere and across Europe and help the company continue down this path by creating an environment that is attractive, engaging, inclusive, and fulfilling for every one of our team members.”
